
Nepali Army chief on 4-day India visit aimed at boosting defense ties
Nepali Army Chief General Ashok Raj Sigdel arrived in India on December 10 for a four-day visit to the country aimed at enhancing bilateral military cooperation and exploring new avenues for defence collaboration. The visit came weeks after Indian Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi’s official visit to the Himalayan country. General Sigdel, who will be in India from December 11-14, was warmly received by the Indian Army on his arrival in Delhi. On December 11, the Nepali Army chief will lay a wreath at the National War Memorial and be given a guard of honour at the South Block Lawns. This would be followed by an interaction with his Indian counterpart, General Upendra Dwivedi.
